Jet Lag IV Drip at Your Hotel or Home in Dubai
Rehydrate and recover after a long-haul flight, without leaving your room
Medilife brings a jet lag IV drip to your hotel room, home or office anywhere in Dubai. A DHA-licensed nurse from Medilife's own team checks your health first, sets up your drip and stays with you until it finishes. The drip replaces the fluid you lose on a long flight and helps you shake off travel tiredness, so you can get on with your day. Medilife has provided home healthcare in Dubai since 2016.

What a jet lag drip can and can't do
A long flight leaves you with two separate problems.
Travel dehydration and tiredness
Dry cabin air, hours of sitting, little proper sleep and irregular meals leave many travellers dehydrated, stiff, headachy and drained. A jet lag drip targets this part. It delivers fluids straight into your bloodstream, so you can rehydrate while you rest, often within hours of landing.
Your body clock
Jet lag itself happens because your internal clock is still set to the time zone you left. No drip can reset it; that takes daylight, sleep timing and a few days. What the drip can do is take dehydration and exhaustion out of the picture while your body adjusts. The tips further down this page help with the rest.
Quick answer
What's in the drip and what it costs
Your jet lag drip combines IV fluids with vitamins and minerals chosen to support hydration and energy after travel. Your nurse will explain exactly what's in it before you start.
Price: from AED 875. The price covers everything: the nurse's visit to your hotel, home or office, the drip itself and all sterile equipment. There's no separate call-out fee, and we confirm your price before the nurse sets off.
Who books a jet lag drip
Landed with a meeting the same day
You've come off an overnight flight and have a meeting or event in a few hours. The nurse comes to your hotel so you can rehydrate while you rest and prepare.
Hotel guests and visitors
You don't want to go looking for a clinic in a city you've just arrived in. The nurse brings everything to your room.
Frequent flyers
You take several long-haul flights a month and want a reliable way to recover between trips.
Residents returning home
You've landed back in Dubai after a long trip and have work the next morning. Have your drip at home or in the office.
Is this the right drip for you?
A jet lag drip is a good fit if you:
- have just landed from a long flight and feel tired, drained or dehydrated
- are otherwise well
- want to recover at your hotel or home rather than travel to a clinic
Speak to a doctor first if you:
- have a fever, cough, vomiting or diarrhoea after your flight; a Medilife doctor can assess you at your hotel, and if you've lost fluids through illness, see our dehydration IV drip
- have a heart or kidney condition
- are pregnant or breastfeeding
Children: Medilife does not give IV drips to children at home.
Call 998 straight away if, after a flight, you have:
- pain, swelling or warmth in one leg, especially the calf
- chest pain or sudden shortness of breath
These can be signs of a blood clot and need emergency care, not a drip.
How it works
Message us
WhatsApp or call +971 52 345 2646 with your hotel name and room number, or your address. You can book as soon as you land.
A nurse comes to you
A DHA-licensed Medilife nurse typically arrives within 30 to 45 minutes, day or night, with sterile, single-use equipment.
Health checks first
The nurse asks about your health, your flight and any medicines, and checks your blood pressure and heart rate before starting.
Your drip
The nurse places a small cannula in your arm and starts the drip. You can rest, sleep or work on your laptop, and the nurse stays with you throughout.
Finishing up
The nurse removes the cannula and gives you simple aftercare advice.
At your hotel, home or office
At your hotel
The nurse comes to your room, so you don't have to leave after a long flight.
At home
Recover on your own sofa after landing back in Dubai.
At your office
If you've gone straight from the airport to work, have your drip at your desk or in a meeting room.
Before or after your flight?
After you land
After you land is when most travellers book. Dehydration and tiredness are at their worst after a long flight, and the drip helps you recover while you rest in your room.
Before you fly
Before you fly also works for some travellers, especially frequent flyers who want to start a long flight well hydrated. If you book before a flight, leave enough time for the drip to finish comfortably before you leave for the airport. The nurse removes the cannula before leaving, so you travel with nothing in your arm.
Help your body clock adjust faster
Alongside your drip, these simple habits help your body clock catch up with Dubai time:
- Get daylight at the right time. Spend time outside in the morning and early afternoon. Daylight is the strongest signal for resetting your body clock.
- Live on local time straight away. Eat meals and go to bed at normal Dubai times, even if you're not hungry or sleepy yet.
- Keep naps short. If you must nap, keep it under 30 minutes and before mid-afternoon, so you can still sleep at night.
- Time your caffeine. Coffee in the morning can help, but avoid it from the afternoon onwards.
- Go easy on alcohol. It dehydrates you and disturbs sleep.
- Keep drinking water. Your drip gives you a head start; keep sipping through the day.
- Move. A walk helps with stiffness from the flight and keeps you awake until evening

Frequently asked questions
It can help with part of it. A jet lag drip replaces the fluid you lose on a long flight and helps with tiredness, headaches and feeling drained. It can't reset your body clock; daylight, sleep timing and a few days do that. Most people find the drip makes those first days much easier.
IV fluids are an effective way to rehydrate, because they go straight into your bloodstream instead of through your stomach. How much better you feel depends on how dehydrated and tired you are to begin with. If you're only mildly thirsty, drinking water may be enough.
Switch to local time straight away. Get daylight in the morning and early afternoon, eat and sleep at normal Dubai times, keep naps short, and avoid caffeine later in the day. Rehydrating, with water or a drip, helps you feel better while your body adjusts.
Medilife's jet lag drips start from AED 875. The price includes the nurse's visit to your hotel, home or office and everything needed for your drip, with no call-out fee. We confirm your price when you book.
Whenever suits you. Many travellers book as soon as they reach their hotel. A nurse typically arrives within 30 to 45 minutes, 24 hours a day.
Yes. Some frequent flyers like to start a long flight well hydrated. Allow enough time for the drip to finish before you leave for the airport; the nurse removes the cannula before leaving.
It depends on the drip, and the team will tell you how long to allow when you book. The nurse stays with you for the whole session.
Not if you're generally well; you can book directly. Before your drip, a DHA-licensed nurse checks your health and vital signs. If you feel unwell after your flight, or have a heart or kidney condition, see a Medilife doctor first.
Usually only minor ones, such as slight bruising or soreness where the cannula went in. If you feel unwell during the drip, tell the nurse straight away.
The drip won't stop you sleeping. For the best night, go to bed at the normal Dubai time and follow the body-clock tips above.
Yes. Medilife nurses visit hotels, homes, apartments and offices across Dubai.
A Medilife doctor reviews your health details before every drip, so you can book directly, with no separate appointment needed. At your visit, a DHA-licensed nurse checks your vital signs before starting. If you feel unwell after your flight, or have a heart or kidney condition, a Medilife doctor will assess you in person first.
