Mother & Baby Care at Home in Dubai
Medilife cares for you and your newborn together at home, anywhere in Dubai, with visits from our own DHA-licensed nurses.
Your nurse supports your recovery after a vaginal or caesarean birth, including C-section wound care, and checks your baby's weight, skin and umbilical cord. Night care is available too, so you can sleep while a nurse looks after your baby, all without trips out in the first weeks.
If you or your baby needs emergency help, call 998.

Who Our Mother & Baby Care Is For
Families usually call us in the first days and weeks after the birth, when your own recovery and your baby's care happen at the same time.
Recovering from a C-section
Lifting, bending and moving around are harder after surgery. Your nurse checks how your wound is healing, changes the dressing and helps with your baby while you recover.
Home soon after the birth
If you left hospital quickly, a nurse can check both of you in your first days at home and answer questions as they come up.
Worried about jaundice, feeding or weight
Your nurse checks your baby's skin colour and weight and tells you clearly if a doctor should see your baby.
Exhausted and short on sleep
With overnight newborn nursing, you sleep while a nurse looks after your baby through the night.
First-time parents
Having a nurse at home helps you build confidence with everyday newborn care, from looking after the umbilical cord to knowing what is normal.
No family nearby
Many families in Dubai live far from relatives. A Medilife nurse gives you professional support at home when extra hands are not close by.
Nursing Care for You and Your Baby
Mother & Baby Care is Medilife's postnatal care service, delivered at home by the same nursing team behind Medilife Home Nursing in Dubai. Your nurse looks after both of you at each visit, so your recovery and your baby's early checks happen in one place: your home.

Overnight Newborn Nursing
Night feeds and broken sleep are hard at any time, and harder while your body is healing. With overnight newborn nursing, a Medilife nurse stays with your baby through the night so you can rest. Medilife's home nursing team is available 24/7, so night care can be arranged when you need it.
During the night, your nurse can help with:
- settling your baby
- nappy changes
- bottle feeds, or bringing your baby to you for breastfeeds
- following safe sleep practice

Who Will Care for You at Home
Your care is provided by DHA-licensed nurses from Medilife's own team, not a nanny or an untrained helper. They carry out clinical checks and wound care, and they work alongside Medilife doctors, who can visit your home if you or your baby needs a medical review.

whether you need day visits, overnight care or both
how many visits or nights you book
how many weeks of support you need
If you have health insurance, ask our team about cover and the documents you may need before you book.
When to Call a Doctor or 998
Your nurse keeps a close eye on you both, but some signs need urgent medical help straight away. Call 998 or go to the nearest emergency department if:
Your baby
- has a temperature of 38°C or higher in the first three months
- has difficulty breathing
- is unusually sleepy, floppy or hard to wake
- refuses feeds
- turns yellow in the first 24 hours, or the yellow colour spreads or deepens
- has far fewer wet nappies than usual
You
- have heavy bleeding
- have a fever or severe pain
- notice redness, swelling or discharge from your wound
- have thoughts of harming yourself or your baby
If you feel very low or unable to cope, tell your nurse or speak to a doctor soon. For concerns that are not an emergency, a Medilife doctor can visit you at home, 24/7, through Doctor on Call.
Keep your baby's routine check-ups with the paediatrician and your own postnatal follow-up with your doctor alongside your home nursing care.
