International transfers
Under UAE law, health information may not be stored, processed or transferred outside the UAE unless the health authority permits it. We follow this rule. Other information, such as website analytics or messaging data, may be handled by providers whose systems are outside the UAE. Where that happens, we require them to protect it to a standard consistent with UAE law.
How long we keep it and how we protect it
Medical records are kept for as long as UAE health regulations require. Other information, such as enquiries and booking details, is kept only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and is then deleted or made anonymous.
This website does not currently request or store review content from the Google Places API. It provides a link to Google Maps, which you can choose to open.
We protect your information with access limited to staff who need it, secure systems, encrypted connections on this website, and confidentiality duties for everyone who works with us. No system is completely secure. If a breach could harm you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete information we no longer need, unless the law requires us to keep it, as it does for medical records;
- restrict or object to some uses of your information;
- give you your information in a common electronic format;
- stop marketing messages, using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
To use a right, email support@medilifeglobal.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to reply within one month.
Children
Our services are for patients of all ages, but this website is for adults. A parent or legal guardian should make bookings and give consent for a child.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated. For major changes we will say so on the website.
